The second part of our church’s mission is “Growing His Kingdom.” One way we strive to do that is through missions. Our youth go on an annual summer mission trip, and we support mission organizations and missionaries here in Clay County and around the world. Our goal is to demonstrate Christ’s love tangibly and to share to good news about the salvation Christ has won for us.

Lighthouse for Christ

Supported by many churches in Clay Center, the Lighthouse provides food, clothing, and emergency assistance to those in need in our community.  Our church supports the Lighthouse financially, and many from our congregation volunteer there as well. LEARN MORE

MomsCONNECT

Once a month on Tuesday mornings, moms from our community gather for a time of connecting with other moms, enjoying good food, hearing from a guest speaker, and doing an activity or craft. MomsCONNECT is hosted at different churches in town and everything (including childcare) is free.  It’s a great event and an effective way to share the gospel with women in our area. Community Church Camp Committee

Our church supports this community organization where youth can apply to receive money to help cover the cost of attending a church camp. The goal is encourage youth to attend a camp and either be introduced to the good news about Jesus, or grow in their relationship with him.

Mission School of Hope—Pastor Charles Sagay

Pastor Charles founded and leads a mission to the Baka people in Cameroon, Africa. His goal is to bring them the light of Jesus and minister to their needs. In addition to addressing their spiritual needs through Christ, the mission has a school (which also provides meals to the children) and now has a medical clinic. LEARN MORE

Reformed University Fellowship—Kansas State

Jon Dunning is the campus minister of RUF at K-State. RUF is a Christian ministry to college students with the goal of seeing students embrace a growing knowledge of God through faith in Jesus. Students gather regularly through Bible studies and a variety of events in order to seek truth, ask questions, and build relationships with each other. LEARN MORE

Finish the Task—Brooklyn Cole

Brooklyn is a missionary to Kenya. She is sharing the good news about Jesus, teaching the Bible, and training in leadership and evangelism.  Not only that, but she is the house mom to over a dozen orphan boys. LEARN MORE

China

We support a couple who teach in China.  As they live among the Chinese, they share the hope of Christ, and what he has done for us.

New Tribes Mission (Ethnos360)—Arnie & Diane Kitchner

Arnie & Diane are missionaries who ministered to the Gaviao people for many years in Brazil. They planted and strengthened churches, and led many individuals to Christ.  They are now in Wisconsin at a New Tribes Mission training school helping to prepare missionaries to go into the field. LEARN MORE

Del-Mar-Lee Partners in Christ—Nicaragua

Del-Mar-Lee is a local mission organization that serves churches in Nicaragua.  Mission teams have helped to build about a dozen church buildings, and have strengthened churches and individuals in Christ.

Great Awakenings—Clint Decker

Clint is an evangelist in Clay Center who is striving to reach rural America for Christ.  He has a radio spot that is heard on 58 stations, writes a newspaper column with a circulation of 1 million readers, engages in personal evangelism, and speaks at several outreach events a year. LEARN MORE

Teens for Christ—Miltonvale, KS

Teens for Christ shares the good news about Jesus with youth in our community. The ministry partners with the Wesleyan church in Miltonvale and teaches youth about Christ at weekly meetings and special events.
